Dear Son #1,
Halloween is a fun but, I’ll admit, scary time of year. The spooky decorations, the terrifying costumes, and the frightening music are all scary to a little man like yourself. The reason I’m warning you of this is because Halloween is two days away and your bravery so far isn’t giving me any confidence that you’ll be okay on the actual night. Yes I’m referring to your utter horror when daddy carved your pumpkins tonight.
I can guarantee you three things son,
1. The pumpkins felt no pain.
2. By being carved they are serving their life’s purpose.
And 3. It’s going to be a carved pumpkin blood bath in our neighbourhood on Tuesday night so you had better be prepared.
